Data & Scoring · IDP
You play IDP. Verdict takes it seriously.
Dynasty values for every linebacker, edge rusher, and defensive back in your league — calculated the same way as your offensive players, from real NFL production data, and fully integrated with every trade tool on the platform.
The problem
IDP dynasty values shouldn’t require a spreadsheet and a prayer.
You’ve been here before: a trade involving Micah Parsons hits your inbox and you have no idea if the offer is fair. Your trade calculator returns a blank. Your dynasty tool gives you a rough consensus ranking pulled from a poll six months ago. Everyone tells you IDP is “hard to value.” That’s not a limitation of the position — it’s a gap Verdict built the infrastructure to close.
Verdict built it. Every LB, DL, and DB in the database is evaluated across the same six dimensions as your offensive players — production, efficiency, usage, durability, contract situation, age trajectory — computed from three seasons of real game stats. Recalculated daily. AI scouting reports that tell you why a player’s value is moving, not just what it is. And full integration with Trade Finder and Trade Analyzer, so your defensive starters get evaluated with the same rigor as your wide receiver room.
How it works
From defensive depth chart to dynasty verdict
01
Scores Calculated Daily
Every linebacker, edge rusher, and defensive back in Verdict’s database carries a dynasty score built from real game production — tackles, sacks, pressures, snap share, and more — run through the same six-dimension model as your offensive players. Recalculated every night. No stale preseason numbers, no manual lookups, no guessing.
02
AI Scouting Reports Built In
For top IDP players, Verdict generates scouting reports driven by real game data: average tackles per game, sack rates, snap percentages, scheme context, injury risk, and a buy/sell/hold signal. Know why a player’s dynasty stock is moving — not just which direction.
03
Integrated With Every Trade Tool
When you run Trade Finder or evaluate a deal in Trade Analyzer, your IDP players are in the analysis — scored as real assets, not placeholders. Verdict knows your linebacker depth the same way it knows your wide receiver room.
What IDP-first means
What IDP-first actually means
Dynasty Values for Every IDP Position
LB, DL, and DB all carry real dynasty values — not a rough estimate bolted on as an afterthought. Scores are calculated from production, efficiency, usage, durability, contract situation, and age trajectory, on the same 0–100 scale your offensive players use. Recalculated every day, not once a preseason.
Positional Scarcity, IDP-Aware
A LB1 is scarce differently than a WR1. Verdict’s Trade Finder accounts for IDP depth when it maps your league — it won’t flag your best linebacker as a surplus unless your roster can genuinely absorb the loss. If you’re thin at DB, that shows up in your positional needs analysis the same way a thin RB room does.
Trade Tools That Don’t Drop the Ball
Most dynasty trade calculators skip IDP columns or return blank values when you include a defensive player. Verdict doesn’t. Trade Finder surfaces IDP trade opportunities across 12 deal structures. Trade Analyzer evaluates IDP assets the same way it evaluates a running back — with dynasty value, need fit, and a clear grade.
FAQ
Questions about IDP Scoring
What IDP positions does Verdict support?
All three IDP position groups: linebackers (LB), defensive linemen and edge rushers (DL), and defensive backs — cornerbacks and safeties (DB). Verdict maps specific sub-positions (OLB, ILB, DE, DT, CB, S) to these groups automatically, so your roster analysis works regardless of how your league labels positions.
Where does Verdict get IDP dynasty values?
Same place as offense: real NFL production data, run through Verdict’s own six-dimension scoring engine — production, efficiency, usage, durability, contract situation, and age trajectory. Scores land on the same 0–100 scale as offensive players, so you can compare a linebacker directly against a wide receiver when a trade involves both.
What does the AI scouting report cover for IDP players?
For top-tier IDP players, Verdict generates reports that include per-game averages for tackles, sacks, tackles-for-loss, and snap percentage — drawn from real game data. The report also covers scheme fit (does this team’s defense maximize their fantasy role?), injury risk, trend direction (rising/stable/declining), and a buy/sell/hold signal with a one-sentence rationale.
Do I need to play in an IDP league to use Verdict?
No — Verdict works for skill-only dynasty leagues too. IDP Scoring is built into the platform for anyone who uses it. If your league doesn’t have IDP, your defensive players simply won’t appear as trade assets. Everything else works the same.
How does IDP affect Trade Finder results?
Fully. Trade Finder maps every roster in your league — including IDP depth — before generating trade candidates. If you’re surplus at LB but thin at DB, Verdict will look for trades that sell into your linebacker surplus and target defensive backs. Your IDP starters are evaluated in every deal structure, not filtered out.
