The problem
Crowdsourced values tell you what the market thinks. Not what’s true.
Crowdsourced dynasty values reflect sentiment — what people feel a player is worth — not what the data says. Hype inflates rookies. Recency bias punishes slow starts. And defensive players barely register at all.
Verdict’s scoring engine is calculated from real NFL production data — points, yards, touchdowns, targets, carries — across three full seasons. When a player’s score changes, it’s because something in the game-level data changed.
The four scores
Four scores. Each one tells you something different.
Dynasty Score 0–100
The complete picture. Weighs long-term value, age trajectory, production floor, and positional scarcity into one number. A 22-year-old receiver with two WR1 seasons scores differently than a 30-year-old doing the same thing — because dynasty isn’t just about this year.
Trade Value 0–10,000+
What a player is actually worth in a trade. Uses diminishing returns at the top of the range — elite players are worth more than the sum of two good ones. This is the number the Trade Finder and Trade Analyzer use to grade deals.
Win-Now 0–100
How much this player helps you win this season. A rebuilder can safely trade a high win-now, low dynasty-score veteran. A contender should be targeting them. This score is what separates “good player” from “good for your team right now.”
Consistency 0–100
Week-to-week reliability. A player who averages 15 points but scores between 8 and 22 every week is more valuable than one who averages 15 but alternates between 2 and 28. Consistency separates reliable starters from boom-or-bust gambles.
Under the hood
Six dimensions behind every score
Every player is evaluated across the same six dimensions, weighted the same way regardless of position. What changes by position is what the numbers mean — a running back’s aging curve looks nothing like a quarterback’s.
Production
Three seasons of real NFL stats, weighted by recency — this season counts most, last season next, two years back least. Normalized against every other player at the position, so a 22-year-old receiver and a 34-year-old kicker aren’t judged on the same scale.
Efficiency
Advanced per-play data — completion percentage over expected and time to throw for quarterbacks, separation and yards after catch for receivers and tight ends, rush yards over expected for running backs, pressures and missed-tackle rate for defenders. Reveals whether the production is sustainable or propped up by volume.
Usage
Snap share and where it’s trending. A player heading toward more snaps carries a different dynasty outlook than one with identical production but a shrinking role.
Durability
Games played versus games possible over the last three seasons. A player who’s actually on the field earns more trust than one with the same per-game numbers built on a thinner sample.
Contract Situation
Years remaining before free agency. A player locked in for multiple seasons carries more long-term certainty than one about to hit the open market.
Age Trajectory
Position-specific aging curves built from historical NFL data. Running backs decline faster than quarterbacks. Wide receivers peak later than most people think. The model knows the difference between a 27-year-old WR and a 27-year-old RB.
League-aware
Scores that know your league’s format
Verdict reads your Sleeper league’s scoring settings directly. Half-PPR, full PPR, Superflex, TEP, IDP roster slots, custom scoring tweaks — all of it factors into the numbers you see. A tight end in a TEP league scores differently than the same tight end in a standard league. A quarterback in Superflex is worth more than in 1QB.
You don’t configure anything. Connect your league, and the scoring engine adjusts automatically. The dynasty score you see is the dynasty score for your format.

Questions about the scoring engine
How are scores calculated?
Each player is evaluated across six dimensions — production, efficiency, usage, durability, contract situation, and age trajectory — using three seasons of NFL game data. Those six combine into the Dynasty Score, and Trade Value is derived from it. Win-Now and Consistency are calculated separately, from current-season production and week-to-week variance. Everything recalculates daily as new game data comes in.
How often do scores update?
Daily during the NFL season. The scoring engine re-ingests stat lines, snap counts, and news every night and recalculates scores by morning. During the offseason, scores update when roster moves, free agency signings, or draft picks change the inputs.
Do scores adjust for my league’s format?
Yes. Verdict reads your Sleeper league’s scoring settings — PPR weight, Superflex, TEP, IDP roster slots, custom points — and adjusts accordingly. Two managers in different formats see different scores for the same player.
What data goes into the scoring engine?
Three seasons of NFL game-level data: weekly stat lines, snap counts, target shares, rush shares, routes run, defensive tackles, sacks, interceptions, and pass breakups. Plus advanced per-play efficiency data, games-played history, and contract years remaining. All real data. No projections based on projections.
